Happy Birthday Prada Pack!
Yesterday our "firstborn" turned 2! We love our little Precious Prada Pack and she definitely makes our lives more interesting {sometimes I think she is going through the Terrible Two's stage HA!} She and Hattie are the best of friends and she is a great big sister. Happy Birthday Preshy!
6 Months Old
Holy cow! Seriously, where does the time go?? 6 months has already come and gone! I can't believe my baby is over half way to one year old--that's just too crazy! Here are some fun things that Manhattan was up to at 6 months:
Height: 28.1 inches - 98.87%
Weight: 14.07 pounds - 14.27%
Head: 16.33 inches - 20.73%
- She is our tall skinny girl! The doctor said she is on her way to being a supermodel, ha! We have no idea where she gets her height.
- She is still in size 1 diapers and some 3/6 month clothes are still too big in the waist but overall she is in size 6 month clothing.
- She tried Prunes for her first fruit and loved them! She seems to like anything sweet just like her mama and daddy ha!
-She was creeping and rocking and rolling EvErYwHeRe and started doing a funny little army crawl
- She tried Carrots for her first veggie and didn't like them too much
- She became a pro at sitting up
- She started to get tricky on her hands and knees then lift one arm straight up in the air with a big smile on her face--it was so funny!
- She tried apples and it was the first time finishing an entire jar
- Her Grandpa Lynn gave her strawberries for the first time
- She started reaching for people when being held and reaches up when she wants to be picked up
- She fell off the bed for her first and LAST time. She was asleep and the next thing I know I heard a clunk and then a scream. I was so sick to my stomach. She was just fine and I definitely cried more than she did. I felt HoRrIbLe!
- She started pulling herself up on things like our dining chairs, coffee table and crib
- She started crying when things that she wanted were taken away from her--especially Prada's toys that seem to always be within her reach
- AND...the biggest milestone of all...CRAWLING!!! On July 3rd she started crawling and has been all over the place since.
*Independence Day*
This year we had such a wonderful 4th of July filled with Food, Family and Friends--what could be better?! I LOVE this holiday and secretly have an obsession with the patriotic colors red, white, and blue--if it was allowed I seriously would decorate my entire home in only these colors ha! Maybe someday just a bedroom...or two...ha! For now I have a good excuse and just decorate my baby girl--she has at least 5 outfits that were made for this single occasion.
For the holiday weekend we were so lucky to have Kylie and Daniel in town and we got to spend a lot of time with them. Although you won't be able to tell since we didn't get a single pic with them?? So sad :(
Also, about a week before the 4th we threw a going away party for James & Magan who moved back to the great state of Texas. We miss them like crazy and can't wait to see them again--hopefully sooner than later! We also were invited to go with our friends Ben & Vanessa to the Lehi Roundup BBQ and rodeo--I've decided that rodeos give me anxiety {a little too much country for me} but it was great to spend time with them along with Shane & Shara.
Because the holiday fell on a Sunday this year the parade was on Monday July 5th. We had so much fun being in the Baby Brigade! Hattie just loved seeing all the people and was talking away in her stroller! Pretty cute :)

And the Winner Is...
Summer is the time for many baby contests in Utah and we decided to enter Manhattan in two. No, this is not like the show Toddler's and Tiara's it's just for pure fun! We are quite proud to say that she won second place at both the Orem Summerfest and the Freedom Festival Contests! She won ribbons, medals and gift certificates and we were even able to participate in the 4th of July Parade! Here are some pictures of our little winner :)
SUMMERFEST
{This one was the same day as Sean's race and my mom and I decided to go on a whim so I forgot to bring the camera! Luckily they took a super cute one there. So these are afterwards...and yes, she did wear a BIG bow to the contest. Ha!}
