Catching up

Life seems to be extremely busy these days! With Sean both working and going to school full time and my going back to work it seems like blogging has been put on the back burner. But we have done some fun things lately--let me catch you up!

Before I went back to work Sean surprised me on a Saturday and he took me on a date! We had my mom watch the baby and we went to Cafe Rio for dinner and Dippidee for dessert. We decided that Dippidee is going to be our Saturday tradition because it is soooo yummy! It was nice to get out just the two of us. We had such a great time together.

At 2 months and 22 days Manhattan had her first doctor appointment! Poor girl had to have shots and wasn't too thrilled about it. I took some pictures before the damage was done. Ha!

Height:24.13-84.94%
Weight:11.31-34.98%
Head:15.24-22.5%

Right after her appointment we picked up Sean and headed to the mall to get her ears pierced. I know it sounds like torture but we both figured that we may as well get all the poking and prodding done in one day. Well, it was far worse than I imagined. There was only one girl working so they couldn't do both ears at once. It was just our luck that she ended up missing the mark on the second ear and had to re-pierce it. It was awful and I felt so bad for little Manhattan :(. Here is a picture before the horrible experience!

Here are her earrings the next morning. Pretty cute huh?

For a few days the weather was really nice and we took our first trip to the park! With Hattie being a winter baby it's been really hard being cramped up indoors. So any day that the sun is shining we try and get some fresh air!

Manhattan was exhausted when we got home bless her heart.

On April Fool's we thought Hattie had a joke for us. But boy oh boy it was no joke! She now sucks her thumb! As cute as it is I wish that she didn't learn this new little trick--you can take away a paci but you can't take away a thumb. Ha! We will see how long it lasts I guess :)

Family Pictures

A couple weeks back my best friend Amanda called and wanted to take some pictures of our little family. I was SO EXCITED 1. because Amanda is an absolutely phenomenal photographer and 2. because we hadn't had family pictures taken since Manhattan was born and 3. we always have so much fun with her! If you are local you seriously need to consider having her take your pictures--click here to go to her website--you WON'T be disappointed.
