A Holly Jolly Christmas

Santa Time + Temple Square

A few days before Christmas we took Manhattan and Erica to go see Santa down at the Riverwoods Mall. It was so nice because there was NO line, the set up was darling, and the Santa was so cute! Hattie was not a fan of Santa and we made the poor girl see him twice...yeah, it didn't go any better the second time around, HA!

Afterward, we headed up to Salt Lake with all of the Pack family to see the beautiful lights and gorgeous temple. In our faith temples are very important. You can learn more about them here

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent up at the Pack home. It was so nice for the entire family to be together this year. We all got the cutest matching jammies from Lynn and Janice. We also played games and had a lot of fun as a family.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we woke up to many gifts under the tree. I always love see the entire living room filled with presents. We opened presents at the Packs in the morning and then we went over to the Ayers home for more presents in the afternoon. Hattie had so much fun ripping the wrapping paper!

Party Time

Hattie's birthday party was Owl Themed and was a big success! A big thank you to all who celebrated this milestone with us! Also, a big shout out to Crystal who made the ADORABLE owl cupcakes! If you are looking for a pastry chef she is the lady! She is SO talented!

A note from Mom:
Happy First Birthday my sweet Manhattan Grace. I cannot believe that a year has already come and gone. It's just like everyone says, "It will fly by!" We have experienced so many unforgettable firsts together throughout your first year. I will never forget the first time we met and I held you in my arms--the love I felt for you is indescribable. I could not ask for a sweeter baby girl! You have such a sweet demeanor about you but you have enough sass that equals the perfect mix! You are such a smart girl and and you pick up on things so quickly. I am so proud to be your Momma and it is bittersweet for me to watch you grow. You bring so much joy to my life and I cannot wait for what the next year will bring. I love you dearly, Mom.

-By the beginning of December Hattie was walking EVERYWHERE!!! Our lives haven't been the same, HA!

- The first time she said up I was going up the stairs and she pointed towards them and said "up"--as a side note, from the time she was tiny every time we go up the stairs I will always sing "Up-up-up the stairs we go!" So it doesn't surprise me that this is part of her vocab :)

- The first time she said bubbles I was filling up her tub and putting the bubbles in and she pointed and said "bubba"

- On her birthday she had a BIG fall down the stairs! Luckily Daddy was there and caught her fall! But she definitely had a bruise to show for it :(

- She started blowing kisses to everyone

-She had her first birthday party on December 18th. She had a blast! She had fun unwrapping all of the presents. But most of all, she loved devouring an entire cupcake! Poor girl got sick later that night though and threw it all up :(

- She contracted her first Pink Eye infection--GROSS!

- On December 20th she went in for her 12 month check up and had to get 5 shots--She was such a trooper!

- She had a great Christmas celebrated with family. She of course was spoiled but her favorite gift were these little animals my mom got her.

- The last two-and-a-half weeks of December Hattie was contracted a nasty virus and we went to the doctor 3 times in one week--no fun!

{Happy Harvest}

For Thanksgiving we had a very enjoyable time celebrating with both our families and even some extended family. We ate a total of 3 Thanksgiving meals and loved every bit of the mashed potatoes, yummy turkey, cranberry sauce and of course the pie! This was Hattie's first Thanksgiving I think she really enjoyed it! She ate everything so fast but of course her favorite was the pumpkin pie and whipped cream!
